Our Meals tend to have at least 75% of carbohydrates, and the rest is proteins and fat. This gains our blood sugar levels and does not give enough strength to our muscle mass. Including protein in our breakfast, not only helps build muscle, but also aids faster metabolism rate and hence it becomes very easy for us to maintain our weight. Protein keeps you feeling fuller when included in your breakfast.
Protein requirements depend on person to person. Ideally, it depends on other factors like age, gender, physical activity level. The Recommended Daily Allowance (RDA) is 0.8 grams to 1 kilogram of body weight. On an average, a sedentary lifestyle, weighing about 60kgs, can consume 55-60g of protein throughout the day. If this is specifically considered for breakfast, it needs to be about 25-35g of protein. Along with this, other nutrients like carbohydrates and fats also need to be balanced out which completes your meal.
